Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGFG HIHI JKJK LMLM NONO PKPK

In this court room where justice is sought with fervorA
And passion fills the air with every breathB
I stand alone with memories I savorA
Of trials past and verdicts fair and justC
-
Within the solemn court where judges sitD
In wigs and gowns deliberating longE
I hold the nation's constitution litD
By memories of lawyers' battles strongE
-
This chamber where the words of truth are weighedF
And justice is the highest prize to earnG
I have seen worries vanish fears allayedF
And heard the cries of guilt and innocence churnG
-
Within these walls encircled by the lawH
I once beheld a JUSTICE pure and trueI
Amidst a bench of judges without flawH
A shining light that cut through all the blueI
-
My heart rejoiced at this my first glanceJ
And confidence surged through my every poreK
I longed for HIS continued just stanceJ
And cheered His name in admiration moreK
-
In this court room where the truth prevailsL
And falsehoods fail to gain a foothold stillM
The wise counsels witness with relief the talesL
Of one staunch JUSTICE fearless of all illM
-
Yet there is now a decay within these wallsN
A rot that permeates the benches once so brightO
For two JUSTICES have heeded the devil's callsN
And left behind a court that's lost its lightO
-
In this court room where justice once was servedP
I stand in mourning the JUSTICES gone beforeK
And praise their legacy still undeservedP
With memories that last for evermoreK
