That the old man died late yesterday | A |
And his burial was held this morning | B |
With all the saints around rejoicing | B |

This very old man lives down the street | C |
So old he now walks with a third feet | C |
Never did we know whence he came from | D |
But everyone knows him to be Tom | E |

Old Tom is known in every district | F |
For he was very godless and strict | F |
He never wanted to know the Lord | G |
Nor did he ever believe His Word | H |

Once he slew a christian in his youth | I |
For bringing him the gospel of truth | I |
And since after the youngster was slain | J |
No one ever preached to him again | K |

But a light struck old Tom just last night | L |
And he fell down flat and lost his sight | L |
Everyone rushed to him at his shout | M |
Knowing not what it was all about | M |

Then he confessed to have seen a light | L |
Overwhelm him and put him to fright | L |
'And a strange voice chid my unbelief | N |
Saying He was Jesus Christ the Life ' | - |

And he said a great deal afterwards | O |
And all around marvelled at his words | O |
And gave God glory honour and praise | P |
Who showers men with His bounty grace | Q |

The Christians around were about eight | R |
They prayed that he might receive his sight | L |
And after that his sight was restored | G |
Many believed that Jesus was Lord | G |

Tom was led this morn to a river | S |
Where he pledged to serve God Forever | S |
And was baptized a Christian indeed | T |
The old man was buried with his deed | T |

Yes This old man died late yesterday | A |
Yet though we may say he lives today | A |
He's not the one we knew till last night | L |
But an Ideal Christian now in Christ | U |
