The Blooming Spring Of May Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEFF BGHHHH IHIHJJ KHKHCC

Swiftly swiftly flies the timeA
When the earth begets her offspringsB
Sweetly sweetly sounds the rhymeA
When the Christian poet chants and singsB
Blessed be the womb that bore theeC
Blessed be the womb that bore meC
-
Flowers of young May did bloomD
After that her rain kissed the earthE
And a bud of May did loomD
During the spring of that new birthE
Yesteryear a tender bud sprungF
Today her survival is sungF
-
She weathered it through all oddsB
Enduring the seasons of draughtG
Deep rooted in times of floodH
And steadfast in the times of aughtH
Let the poet sing of her this dayH
Let the poet even her son sayH
-
Happy Birthday to the oneI
Who sat and watch my infant headH
Thanks to the forty and oneI
Ears who heeded my cries for breadH
Long life to a Loving MotherJ
Blessed and virtuous like no otherJ
-
May this new year bring you JoyK
Blessings and Peace UnlimitedH
Wishes of love from your boyK
As these of you by him be saidH
Blessed be the womb that bore theeC
Blessed be the womb that bore meC
