Free Will Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDEFFGGHHIIJJKK

Wandering lights preserve their ancient interpretationA
driven by the realm of shapes in lawful sensationA
Odysseus through exalted ways and by great example leadB
earth given stars surpassing every deedC
All things in views and all things one hearsD
and yet the light cannot penetrate to pierceE
Eternal providence foreknows thought and desireF
for there will be no freedom of will entireF
Occurrence of the event cannot be avoidedG
false opinions missing direction pointedG
Secret signs of truth with love so greatH
knowing already what it seeks from the eternal mateH
Ignorance discern the hidden formI
separating the truth in still and stormI
The blindness in operation human reasoningJ
cannot approach immediate divine deepeningJ
It remains absolute and infringed by necessityK
until the exercise of skill becomes the clarityK
