Nigeria's Cry For Justice Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFG HHII BJKK

In my country Nigeria once so proud and freeA
We suffer under bad governance as we seeA
Corruption runs rampant and leaders turn a blind eyeB
The more we struggle the more poverty continues to multiplyB
-
The rich grow richer while the poor are left behindC
And justice is a distant dream impossible to findC
The politicians make promises but fail to follow throughD
And the people are left with nothing wondering what to doD
-
The schools are underfunded and hospitals in disrepairE
And basic needs like clean water seem to be quite rareE
Electricity is sporadic and roads are full of holesF
As the government does little to remedy these woesG
-
But we people of Nigeria are strong and full of heartH
And we would not give up we'll not fall apartH
We continue to fight for a better tomorrowI
And we will not stop until justice is not just a hollowI
-
So let us stand and lend our voices to their cryB
And let us demand that the government finally do what's rightJ
For until the people are truly free and can live without fearK
We must continue to stand and fight for justice to appearK
