Am getting weaker now,
My strength begins to fade,
Like a candle flickering out,
In the darkness of the shade.

The weight of life is heavy,
And it's taking its toll on me,
My limbs feel tired and achy,
And my eyes struggle to see.

The days grow shorter still,
As I move closer to the end,
But I'll keep on pushing forward,
Until my final breath descends.

For though my body weakens,
And my spirit starts to tire,
I know that in my heart,
There's still a flicker of desire.

So I'll keep on fighting,
Until I can fight no more,
And though my body may fail me,
My soul will still endure.
