Widowed in the prime of their youth	E
Molested and raped by men in uniform	F
Weeping children	B
Orphaned while suckling their mothers	D
Blinded just on opening their eyes	G
Maimed before they could learn walking	H
Lynched before they could start speaking	H

This is not the God's heaven	B
That you should choose	I
I won t make a fake promise to you	J
That you ll never be brutalised	C
That you won t be gunned down	B
But I can show you a baby warrior	K
With a mustard grain in it's fist	C
Ready to break the enemy's tanks	L
To silence the roaring mortar guns	M

You deserved honey and saffron	B
You deserved a grand reception	B
A festive welcome of music and light	C
May you shine with divine light	C
For you re such a special gift of God	C
But tell me would you prefer this world	C
Where soldiers are blocking the roads	O
With barricades of foul words and barbed wire	K
Where every new born faces the danger	K
To be dipped in his innocent blood	C
To be deposited in some unknown grave	P
