Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke : Nice piece. The poem explores the plights of the Kenyan people. It satires the political, social, cultural and religious problems that have bedeviled the society in Kenya.
The African regions share similar experiences. The problem of Africa in by and large is leadership problem. Our leaders are cantankerous and visionless. They are selfish and self centered. Nigeria as a country have similar issues too. Hope is our only consolation. We are praying and believing that God will deliver us someday.
Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke : This is superb. An ironical poem that captures the political, social and cultural subjugation in Kenya. Africa as a continent faces similar problems. Our leaders are cantankerous and visionless. They have no human conscience. Their greed will dig their graves. We in Nigeria are facing similar problems. Lets keep praying and believing that God will deliver us someday.
sharly K: appreciated your poem reflecting on the subjugation of the many by the few!
Just studying Thomas Hardy today and he reflected at the end of his life 1928 - (paraphrasing) that he had lost all hope for the Western civilisation in their degneracy and he hoped that the 'blacks' and the 'yellows' would take over and have their chance to do a better job! What would he have made of things that have happened since, just short of a century on?!?!?
