Street Song Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEAFGH AAIGAAGJJKL MAINOPQR PSATU

Silence is all I seeA
Where have they goneB
No buzzing and honking anymoreC
As they pass and stare or sneer atD
My stateE
Sightless in the swollen cityA
Scavenging for scumF
A salary to satiate my seeringG
Seething hunger and thirstH
-
The hum of humanityA
Has abandoned my inhumanityA
In the swollen city streetsI
Where they would be duckingG
To avoid meA
I now sunbathe like landed GentryA
The smell of fumes at duskG
As they fumigate and kill the vile virusJ
Perhaps I am next I a human virusJ
Accompanies my snore through theK
Sordid nightL
-
Is this the social distanceM
Sanitizing the societyA
And not the streetsI
And their settlersN
Does it care where we stayO
What we eatP
Who we areQ
Whom we work withR
-
CovidP
I hear you visit the premierS
As well as his puppyA
I guess you're more humanT
Than humansU
