Why have you caged me in
Believing me a mark within a sentence
Why have you staged this scene
Clearly cushioning your smelly sin
Why have you upstaged me unseen
With crisp currency to cleanse your crime
Like a final punctuation mark
You seek my life to put a full stop
Hang my integrity up on an interjection mark
Questing and costing my character with a question mark
No, I refuse your seditious sentence
A comma I consider this, and with sincerity I flow on
With truth and openness my colon and semicolon
I cross the falsehood fs and treacherous ts
An open book,I am a dot above that i
And j
I'm breaking free of this cage
Upending your stage
To please my page
Leave your rage
It corrodes,says the sage
Of all age.
