Mummy ,I heard someone cry in my dream
She was a woman and a lump left her forehead threatening to block my eyes
Mother ,I dreamt the woman wailing was just like you.
And mum, what's this on your face?
A bandage, mummy why do you look away?
What,are mumps mocking my mama?
And so sad she's so silent
Like the woman in my night.
I saw father faint and fall by the freezer
A kitchen knife rise like a kite
And his scream scared me
The you scooched and skid off
Mama
Where's papa? Was he the one in my dream?
Why are the chairs cheerless and charmless?
Mummy
love-you/">I love you without that look on your face
Mama
Don't make papa plead
Please don't bleed mommy.
I don't want dreams
I want you with Papa and I
I want us to laugh
Yes, and lollipop!
