| And each line fell in pleasant place | C |

| And wondered what the lines did say | E |
| So I said they wanted to know | F |
| How a duet by one poet might play | E |

| She gave her dimpled smile and said | G |
| I do not write alone instead | G |
| An Angel from God writes with me | H |
| And one that only I can see | H |

| I pondered over this statement | I |
| As I walked out of her presence | J |
| But couldn't discern what she meant | K |
| For at that time it made no sense | L |

| But now I smile with her in view | M |
| As my own Angel gives me clue | M |
| Then asks my dream son by my side | N |
| 'A single duet ' His eyes grow wide | N |

| Then answer I in Graceful tone | O |
| This may not seem a duet to be | H |
| But I write not these poems alone | O |
