Poet's note: The poem centers on overcoming severe darkest circumstances in life. Concept of ashes to wood is imagery, which literally means from rags to riches, poverty to prosperity. We get burned like wood we end up like ashes, someday we com across a silver lining (hopeful situation) that's when it all reverse from living below like ashes to live like wood again.
