We raise our fists, we take a knee
We stand for something greater, we
Are black activists, bold and strong
And we've been fighting all along
For every life lost to hate
For every soul who can't breathe and wait
For every wound that's yet to heal
Our spirits rise, our voices peel
We chant and march and take the streets
Demand change from each person we meet
We won't be silenced, won't back down
Our love for self and others, profound
Our history is stained with blood
We've been treated less than, misunderstood
But through struggle, we rise above
And show the world that black is love
We honor those who came before
Who paved the way, who fought the war
We carry on, we stand up tall
And break the chains that held us all
Black activism, it's a call to fight
For justice, for freedom, for what is right
We won't stop until we're truly free
And every voice is heard, equally.
