We raise our fists we take a kneeA
We stand for something greater weA
Are black activists bold and strongB
And we've been fighting all alongB
-
For every life lost to hateC
For every soul who can't breathe and waitC
For every wound that's yet to healD
Our spirits rise our voices peelD
-
We chant and march and take the streetsE
Demand change from each person we meetF
We won't be silenced won't back downG
Our love for self and others profoundH
-
Our history is stained with bloodI
We've been treated less than misunderstoodJ
But through struggle we rise aboveK
And show the world that black is loveK
-
We honor those who came beforeL
Who paved the way who fought the warL
We carry on we stand up tallM
And break the chains that held us allM
-
Black activism it's a call to fightN
For justice for freedom for what is rightN
We won't stop until we're truly freeA
And every voice is heard equallyA
