We're heading bush for quiet time with two dogs in toe | A |
Honey's a seasoned gal with Coco an open book | B |
The start was shit with coco the whinging sook | B |

But we're here outta Gloucester in a place called Bretti | A |
Hoping to capture the milky ways perfect night sky | B |
It starts out tops with a ripper two days | C |
The skies are blue and touched by those warm sunrays | C |

Then comes day when it all starts to change | D |
These screaming howling winds come bellowing over the range | D |
Chillin watching Netflix Bad Blood I think | B |
All fed up on tucker and about to have a drink | B |

The wind picks up and smashes the tent and camp | E |
Now give me the rain and a bit of damp | E |
Now this strong wind was constant fierce and strong | B |
We're inside holding poles as it's caving in | F |

Shell's crapping her duds I'm just hoping the tent will hold | A |
Now skip two days ahead and a few times these dogs were told | A |
We wake up the next day a hole in the dogs tent | A |
They've chewed through the window it's time they get sent | A |

The wind is not letting up and we're at the end of our tether | G |
Let's drop the dogs back home and head out again together | G |
One night at home in a bed shower and back on the road | A |
Only us and a few things I forgot there's nothing to load | A |

Frying pan looks ok and we've been there before | H |
The trailer hooked up and its foot to the floor | H |
We've decided to set camp on Old Jack's Corner | G |
With the trees lining the river it just seems a lil warmer | G |

All set up including the hammock | B |
And no fierce wind to make it a wreck | B |
The tent the solar and even the shower | G |
It's time for fun with the Miss Towers | C |

O'clock in the arvo and its all said and done | I |
Its time to sit down on mine and her bum | J |
Early the next day a bloody cold morning breaks | C |
And that air bed gets me again with good ole neck aches | C |

A top day ahead is what's said to be | K |
And from what I can gather they're on the money | K |
kookaburras perched around us just waiting for love | L |
Magpies wrens crows and black cockies above | L |

With a piece of a sausage they all venture down | M |
With kookies feeding at my feet right there on the ground | A |
No sight of the goannas its seems this time around | A |
But this cheeky lil possum has made our kitchen her home | N |

Now there's still no luck in catching a yabbie | K |
Can't wait till Shell tries one they're certainly not shabby | K |
The campovens been tops with food far and wide | A |
Pork belly beef stew and a great silverside | A |

The chill hits a lil but nothing a beanie won't fix | C |
Time to stoke up that fire with hardwood not sticks | C |
It's now Monday morning and time to pack up | O |
We're heading home to see them two pups | C |

Then we look at each other and without even a thought | A |
Madi's going to be angry confused and certainly distraught | A |
Yep we're staying another week in this pristine spot | A |
With the possum kookaburras another stew in the pot | A |

So we head into town to stack up on supplies | C |
Then off to the bakery for them ripper pies | C |
We scoot to IGA and get the shopping done | I |
Our clothes have been washed time to get them in the sun | I |

What a top day just knowing that we're staying another week | B |
We can't go home now the holidays just at its peak | B |
Come Wednesday afternoon and its just sinking in | F |
A Jerusalem Falls walk what a brilliant win | F |

Now we settle in for dinner pork belly slaw and corn | P |
Now when ya camping with Shell and I it's pretty well the norm | Q |
We've both finished our din dins and slothing like always | C |
It's time now to relax and settle in for days | C |

Then Jeff rocks up with pudding cream and custard | A |
Twas inhaled in a momemt cheers ya old bastard | A |
He's been a good neighbour with tips and knowledge | R |
years of age a top bloke I pledge | S |

Now there's stuff I'm not telling you in this port induced poem | J |
It's for your own good and if you were there you'd of known | T |
Now let me change this subject well just for a second | A |
I've had zero luck catching that yabbie I beckon | I |

Just to show Miss Shell is all I truly desire | G |
A beautiful clear day topped by an intense campfire | G |
I'll get one one day and excite the pair of us | C |
Straight in the pot with ginger chilli and lemongrass | C |

A mouth watering experience every single person should try | B |
Down to earth stuff you know something you can't buy | B |
It's a really long poem and your probably bored by now | U |
But there's days left and deadset the tiniest row | A |

I seriously don't know how much more I can love this girl | V |
Shell's my moment my past she is my whole world | A |
Apart from my kids whom I'm starting to miss | C |
With everyone here it would be pure bliss | C |

So we made it a plan to spend a week all together | G |
Shell's seven my three in the much warmer weather | G |
Eight grandkids running around exploring the bush | W |
We'll just smile at each other with a shove and a push | W |

Now it's coming to the end of our peaceful stay | A |
I dare say we'll be home a week and plan our next getaway | A |
I've had a brilliant time with my girl and our ventures | C |
For years to come till we're old with dentures | C |
- | |
So I bid you farewell and the best of luck | B |
Enjoy this world around you it's time to run amok | B |
