What is love? I question myself all the time
I don't know the answer, I need an answer
Tell me about love, please tell me about it.
Because I am going crazy about it
Oh Lord help me, I am at the cross roads.

I have given all I thought was worth love,
But I can't make sense of it;
Just a foolish idea to drive me crazy
Because never do I get half of what I give
It is a crazy world indeed, with no love to give.

Why, if its love, do we fall over and over for it?
Why do we fail to realize wolves in the midst of the flock?
Why do we long for love where we never get it?
Why do we pay for it when it is supposed to be free?
Like sheep we fall in the same pit, over and over again.

When we ride the wave, oh this world is not home
Daily we ride it like the favorite pony
We fly on its wings like it would never land
That's love, so contagious, breaks your wings
What a wonderful feeling it would be, if that flame never died.

There is nothing that love can't do
At its heat, it kills, turns into a rage unimaginable
At its best, it flies around, touches everyone in its way
It is a wonderful thing when spread around
Nothing can beat the feeling of love.
