dreaming the larger life with heavenly cheer | B |
No longer let the vain world claim | D |
by the idleness of the chief mistress to refrain | E |
Holding that dream to escape that wise | C |
night shape liberty is the device | C |
To sleep it over labour for small gain | E |
may the weary nights spent in vain | E |
False and untrue knots of treason | F |
when loves compassion is not the reason | F |
Give the night the splendor as true proceeder | B |
listen to whispers of the taintless pleader | B |
Oh soul and bodies image guest | G |
fear not to touch that affection best | G |
Since heavens love in pure immortal high | H |
has mercy echoing through that new day rising sky | H |
That celestial love that we forget and ought | I |
counsel in lessons which needed to be taught | I |
Lovers scorn that love to possess | C |
when virtue claims ungratefulness | C |
Blessings for the nobler state to see | C |
