| Which was to satisfy the one lying in the wooden cage | B |
| With flowers on top as the death bedge | B |
| Which was a sign that the body and soul disengage | B |

| The whole hall was lighted in a black candle | C |
| With mourners standing still in a huddle | C |
| Helpless and low as if a boat with no paddle | C |
| Starring with reddish eyes on the priest | D |
| Talking of the dead in riddle | C |

| Mourners repeated the dirge as students wanting to grasp their once taught matrix | E |
| While viewing the body covered in fur of a fox | F |
| Knowing that it was never going to rise like a phoenix | E |

| At this time the song of the dead depicted no second chance | G |
| For which the call of the ground never gives the dead a chance to dance | G |
| Or a chance to physically give the living a short glance | G |
| Because the two produce different fragnance | G |
