Song Of The Dead

It all started by an echoing dirge,
Which was to satisfy the one lying in the wooden cage ,
With flowers on top as the death bedge
Which was a sign that the body and soul disengage

The whole hall was lighted in a black candle,
With mourners standing still in a huddle ,
Helpless and low as if a boat with no paddle,
Starring with reddish eyes on the priest,
Talking of the dead in riddle,

Mourners repeated the dirge as students wanting to grasp their once taught matrix .
While viewing the body covered in fur of a fox,
Knowing that it was never going to rise like a phoenix,

At this time, the song of the dead depicted no second chance,
For which the call of the ground never gives the dead a chance to dance
Or a chance to physically give the living a short glance
Because the two produce different fragnance .
