Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGH AACCIJKK ALJJMNOP Q

Oh my oh my when I close my eyesA
Everything turns blank darkness exposes from insideB
I feel dizzy stumbling and shakyC
Yet I'm still standing but it's achingD
I imagine a place where different races didn't have a problemE
Where issues from that where beyond themF
Black and white were just skin colorsG
It was us and we not them and yoursH
-
Oh my oh my when I close my eyesA
I feel a spot to where my head liesA
My body drifting towards thoughts thoughts new to meC
I see a world somewhere I want to beC
I imagine a place where no one lived sorrows pain was a mythI
The word poverty became a fairytale told with an elder's permitJ
Everyone was sheltered children went to schoolK
Families were growing stronger parents were coolK
-
Oh my oh my when I close my eyesA
My mood brightens I release a lot of smilesL
I see the errors of mankind I see the traumas caused by itJ
I begin to throw tantrums in my head like a sheep learning to bleatJ
I imagine a place where natural disasters where only found in dreamsM
Where heavy storms would be reduced to gentle windsN
Earthquakes would leave our gardens and homesO
Where tsunamis avoided our lands and remained at the beaches where we come closeP

I said to myself these are just happy thoughtsQ

Poet's note: Imagine a world without racism, poverty and suffering. A world without natural disasters. This short text shines a little light on my thoughts about it. I feel sad, pained and the need to change the world for the better. It shows glimpse of a heaven a world without worries. But change starts with you♄
