| It's a beautiful colour | D |
| So bright | I |
| So white | I |
| The pages eyes are so big | J |
| So bright | I |
| They are always bright | I |
| They watch in amazement at us as we write | I |
| They start at the words we write | I |
| Trying to understand what these words mean | K |
| They don't know | H |
| Battling to understand they give up | L |
| They still smile at us | F |
| But it's smile is different | M |
| It holds understanding now | N |
| It understands that we need it in our lives | F |
| It knows we need it to write | I |
