| Far away i am from my friend | B |

| It puts one foot in front of the other | E |
| As if by some instinct it does know | F |
| His rider loves not a high speed | G |
| My hard whips cannot provoke it | H |
| To walk faster and faster on the road | I |
| Sometimes anger thrusts into its head | J |
| When heavily it refuses to rise up | K |
| More disgusting to me | L |
| For it puts in my mind | M |
| My friend is inaccessible | N |
| He is behind the horizons | O |
| Where my horse cannot reach | P |
