You Walked Out On Me Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EDFA GHIJ KLMN GNOG CPPP

Darling where are you tonightA
What became of our romanceB
We used to sing love songs togetherC
Who is singing with you nowD
-
We used to dance to slow musicE
Who is dancing with you nowD
We used to make love after duskF
Who is making love to you tonightA
-
I ask myself How did I lose youG
And the question befuddles my mindH
I am so depressed all the timeI
It was an irreversible act to let you goJ
-
Darling I cannot go on aloneK
In the shadow of loneliness I standL
Even though you are not here anymoreM
I feel your presence around meN
-
You were not forbearing when I irked youG
You flared up and walked out on meN
Darling I did not want us to break upO
I would have preferred dying to losing youG
-
I paid a harsh penalty for my errorC
How I wish I could dance with you againP
I want to sing love songs with you againP
And I want to make love to you againP
