You Don't Love Me Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDEF GACHACI DFJKLFD MFNOAAP

I m sure you don t love me the way I love youA
You don t feel the passion for me that I feel for youA
And it doesn t excite you when I hug your waistB
The love you speak of doesn t show in your actionC
You don t even look like a woman who s in loveD
I ve poured out my heart to you with tearsE
But you never took me seriously or consoled meF
-
I can t tell you why I love you because I don t knowG
Moreover I don t need a reason to love youA
Darling I wish you could love me without a reasonC
I ve been holding on to this wishful love for some timeH
Separation is the hardest thing to go throughA
But I don t want you to stay with me out of obligationC
If you don t sincerely love me end it right hereI
-
I know you can t control who you love or don t loveD
And I can t force someone to desire meF
I wouldn t program you to love me even if I couldJ
No I d rather you love me by your own choiceK
My optimism diminishes as we slowly drift apartL
You won t tell me that you re not in love with meF
Nevertheless you fail to show me real loveD
-
Why do you subject yourself to this tortureM
I want to hear you say the sad words to meF
Tell me the truth say you don t love me anymoreN
Darling please don t continue to be in denialO
I ll never feel that I ve wasted my love on youA
Although you don t love me the way I want you toA
I ll preserve all my love for you when you leaveP
