Sunset Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC CDE CFG HIJ KLM

The sun climbs down from the evening skyA
It slowly drops behind the peak of the mountainB
And gently touches the surface of the seaC
-
The amber and purplish sunset fascinates meC
In a few minutes or so the sun will disappearD
Darkness will cover the land and crickets will chirpE
-
I stand alone on a slope overlooking the valleyC
It s so peaceful and quiet out here at duskF
But I can t ignore the loneliness in my heartG
-
The beauty of sunset temporarily eases my painH
Evenfall is my solace when I m on this ridgeI
I wish I could follow the sunset across the globeJ
-
The appearance of sunset is like nothing elseK
I travelled westward to see this awesome sightL
On this calm crepuscule my spirit is satisfiedM
