Our Last Goodbye Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDE CFGHI CJKAL

Here s a bunch of flowers for you my darlingA
Though you re critically ill you show no fearB
You stare death in the face courageouslyC
I ll stay by your side until they lay you to restD
And I ll put a wreath of red roses on your graveE
-
The breath of life will soon leave your bodyC
Sadly you may not be with us tomorrowF
Your loved ones weep over you in the roomG
But not a drop of tear falls from your eyesH
I ll miss you and I won t hold back my tearsI
-
It s so sad to lose the only woman I love dearlyC
You re my loving wife and my true friendJ
We vowed not to part until the day we dieK
Now we must say our last goodbye my darlingA
I ll kiss you before you take your last breathL
