My Life Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCDEFGEH EIFJFKLM NEJOLFPQ PIRPSTUV

Inspired by true eventsA
-
I am experiencing the worst time of my lifeB
There is not a peaceful place to lie down and restC
Why do my troubles refuse to ceaseD
I yearn for tranquillity in the presence of troublemakersE
The people who I trust perpetually anger meF
My supposed comforters cause me misery and distressG
But I cannot retaliate against my fellow believersE
How could I ever think of fighting backH
-
If I return evil for evil I shall become as my tormentorsE
How could I feel sorry for myselfI
I could not ask why this suffering has befallen meF
To whom shall I pray when my pain intensifiesJ
I could not cry out Oh Lord rescue meF
They call on the name of the same God that I serveK
Yet they make me curse and swear in my heartL
And I am plunging deeper into the snare of sinM
-
Why do mortals of hurtfulness trample upon my rightsN
I have never laid an obstacle in the path of othersE
And I reject the counsel of people of disguiseJ
I do not assort with men whose hands are full of wicked deviceO
Tartuffes try to contaminate the purity of my heartL
But my willpower helps me to maintain my integrityF
Impure thoughts infest my mind because of my imperfectionP
And it is so difficult to endure the constant pressureQ
-
I am on the brink of taking ruthless actionP
But I have to get a hold of myselfI
The life I have is definitely worth livingR
And I shall not let anyone tarnish my good reputationP
I have suppressed anger and grief inside me for a long timeS
Now I am about to explode like an atomic bombT
But I must hold back fury and vengeanceU
I must bear up a little longer because my deliverance is nearV
