A lady was waiting for a route taxi by the roadwayA
I stood beside her and she smiled at meB
We were the only ones standing thereC
I said hello to the lovely lady and smiled back at herD
She displayed a pleasant personalityB
I asked the lady her name and she replied MinnieB
And I said That s a nice nameE
Then as she was anticipating I told her my nameE
-
I started a warm conversation with MinnieB
We chitchatted for a few minutesF
I wanted to see Minnie again so I asked herD
She agreed to meet me at a plaza in Half Way TreeB
I went out with her in May June and JulyG
The hours and the days swiftly flew byG
Minnie and I met often and we had funH
We were burning with passion for each otherD
-
The selector was playing soul music at the partyB
Minnie said That s my favourite songI
I asked her if she d like to dance and she said OkayA
We went outside and held each other closelyB
I wanted to kiss her and she said Go aheadJ
When I told Minnie that I loved herD
She whispered I love you too in my earK
And she said yes when I asked her to marry meB
