I Am A Writer, Not A Fighter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCC DEFG HIHJ HGKL

I thought writers and readers were more educatedA
Have you not heard of figurative speechB
Not every expression is to be taken literallyC
And only idiots would take general terms personallyC
-
You wrongly and maliciously accuse me of being a haterD
But the real haters are the ones who want to take down my workE
Authors should try to improve their own writingF
The administrators of websites should not support favouritismG
-
Some people waste time commenting on unimportant issuesH
They quickly speak out against things that they disagree withI
But they pay little or no attention to moral valuesH
Pressure will not prevent me from expressing my opinionsJ
-
I do not bash people s poetry because I disagree with their viewsH
Anybody who does not like my poems can write poems to counteract themG
And let the readers decide for themselves whose poems make senseK
I became a poet to write poems and express my views not to fightL
