In a sound sleep, I found myself standing beside Yu-Lin.
For a few moments, she and I were looking at each other fixedly.
Though she was a grown woman, she didn’t appear to age.
Her face had the appearance of a teenage girl.
I couldn’t believe that it was really her, for it was improbable.
She had been completely avoiding me since we broke up.
I wanted to see her, but I had a bad feeling about it.
Guilty feelings came over me, and I was filled with apprehension.
I was trying to find a way to apologise, but I couldn’t.
She sat there in silence with a pleasant look on her face.
I said, “What can I say to make you believe that I’m truly sorry?”
She showed no sign of anger, but she didn’t respond.
Her smile looked the same as it was many years ago.
I said, “Though we parted, the strength of my love has kept me going.”
She swiftly moved closer to me like a dominatrix,
And then she said something that I couldn’t fully make out.
I was wondering what she intended to do next.
She hugged me the same awkward way she used to do,
And then she kissed me with intense passion.
In the heat of kissing, I awoke and realised that it was a dream.
