Rhyme Scheme: A BBCCDEEEE A FFGHIJIJJ A KKLMEEEEE

IA
-
Under rocks whereon the roseB
Like a streak of morning glowsB
Where the azure throated newtC
Drowses on the twisted rootC
And the brown bees humming homewardD
Stop to suck the honeydewE
Fern and leaf hid gleaming gloamwardE
Drips the wildwood spring I knewE
Drips the spring my boyhood knewE
-
IIA
-
Myrrh and music everywhereF
Haunt its cascades like the hairF
That a Naiad tosses coolG
Swimming strangely beautifulH
With white fragrance for her bosomI
And her mouth a breath of songJ
Under leaf and branch and blossomI
Flows the woodland spring alongJ
Sparkling singing flows alongJ
-
IIIA
-
Still the wet wan mornings touchK
Its gray rocks perhaps and suchK
Slender stars as dusk may haveL
Pierce the rose that roofs its waveM
Still the thrush may call at noontideE
And the whippoorwill at nightE
Nevermore by sun or moontideE
Shall I see it gliding whiteE
Falling flowing wild and whiteE
