I will press the brain to walkA
The eyes will rise to observeB
And the pen will be made to talkA
So the task ends not in a swerveB
-
I will voice the worth of His mightC
For the deaf to hear and danceD
I will cast to the dim of the nightC
So the blind may see at a glanceD
-
By the force of the mightiest wordE
By the wisdom of the omnipotenceF
By the nature of the voice unheardE
The tasks of the cosmos commenceG
-
It is God that makes but is unmadeH
Nor in the tasks He seeks for an aidH
Not a second to the effect delayedH
All appear with His commands obeyedH
-
Creatures are divers and all in rankI
Few on the land in the air and seaJ
And hidden worlds are not in blankI
The whole exist with th' power of 'be'K
-
See the heavens in layers on layersL
Seven aloft the earth sans pillarsL
Not can men tell of patent barriersL
Praise to Thee O the Best of makersL
-
See the terra firma as it laid out wideM
Oiling the wheels for the men to rideM
When the earth and the rain collideM
In cultivation with bounties provideM
-
He fashioned the angels as so desiredE
Their being with wings by all admiredE
And were shaped for the work requiredE
Worship praise and not a bit retiredN
-
Espy the flitting avian in the skyO
Like a seraph in the Empyrean flyO
For viands roving th' desert of DubaiO
Nay un luck just on their Lord relyO
-
Scan the routine life of the beesP
How they swarm and live on treesP
And as they dine as God decreesP
Lo Honey to man a cure for diseaseP
-
See how complex ye art made from clayQ
Man sanest being endued with sensesR
What scale of deeds ye can to repayQ
Or can spend to match from expensesS
-
See designs He gives to the tongueT
Most sweet and bitter of the lungT
Yet made for His praise to be sungT
Men for selves it's used to the wrongU
-
Ideate the states of the deaf and blindV
Then see the worth of ears and eyesW
Little of thanks do ye give to remindV
Grateful He wants our God Most WiseW
-
Ye ever spot Mighty sign in thy sleepX
Nor ever think of thy doom at nightC
Aid memoire over which sages weepX
But slumber nay never take His sightC
-
See in the alternating night and dayQ
The moon the sun as it shines its rayQ
As planned each runs in its pathwayQ
None His orders will never disobeyQ
-
See illness not as grief but a testY
Loss of life is a sermon for the restY
But believers do use this to their bestY
Look to the End from Him to be blestY
-
Is He Who causes dead land to lifeZ
Not able afterlife to revive your soulA2
Nay His might is strong and rifeZ
And over all things He has controlA2
-
I have scoured every nook and crannyJ
The task for brain appears of ironyJ
It seems His blessings are too manyJ
And the eyes the pen becoming punyJ
-
I have gathered and known by sightC
His signs exceed the mouth can sayQ
And never for what the pen can writeC
Nor in extent what the scale can weighQ
-
His signs reflect so great and plainB2
That the blind could sense and eyeO
Our Lord made all these not in vainB2
So which of His favours do ye denyO
