Broken Vows Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCA DEFG HAHH IJKL

Once a serenadeA
Once a clear picture to paintB
Now it's grenadesC
And plenty of memories that fadeA
-
You used to be so free in my presenceD
Now you just flee and are ever so absentE
From better and sweeter treatsF
To silence and bitter tricksG
-
Now my days are spent by the lakeH
Thinking about the vows we madeA
Such trees no wind could shakeH
But i'm starting to think all was fakeH
-
I was never the one to hurt youI
Thought you would never desert meJ
A part of my mind was deceivedK
A piece of my heart never forgivesL
