The clock just struck lucky hour,
Now this wine tastes a bit sour,
But I cannot help but swallow,
And hope my pride will follow.
From playing it fair,
And getting no share,
To pouring my heart out,
And left in self doubt.
It is forever taught,
That love cannot be bought,
But I'll put my last bet on tonight,
And maybe win myself a heart for life.
She seemed a bit flattered,
When I stuttered as I chattered.
Now I'm on one knee by the eiffel tour,
The clock just struck wifey hour!
