Like a wolf howling at the moon,
My eyes give a daring stare at the stars.
Would you look up once more,
And hear my cry one last time?
These thoughts clouding my brain,
This heart aching in pain.
I wander about in shame,
In the end it's just the same.
Was it something I said,
That made you mad?
Was it something I did,
That cut you deep?
I lie awake all night,
Thinking maybe you just might.
My dear best friend,
My heart needs a mend.
