Signs Of Winter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEBFGHIJKBL

The cat runs races with her tail The dogA
Leaps oer the orchard hedge and knarls the grassB
The swine run round and grunt and play with strawC
Snatching out hasty mouthfuls from the stackD
Sudden upon the elmtree tops the crowE
Unceremonious visit pays and croaksB
Then swops away From mossy barn the owlF
Bobs hasty out wheels round and scared as soonG
As hastily retires The ducks grow wildH
And from the muddy pond fly up and wheelI
A circle round the village and soon tiredJ
Plunge in the pond again The maids in hasteK
Snatch from the orchard hedge the mizzled clothesB
And laughing hurry in to keep them dryL
