The river carried your name through evening light,
Soft winds wandered across the quiet land,
Wild flowers opened their gentle hearts,
As nature held my soul within its hand.
The trees stood still beneath the painted sky,
Their leaves moved softly with a tender grace,
I felt your love within the silent breeze,
Like sunlight resting warmly on my face.
The distant hills wore shades of fading gold,
Birdsongs floated through the endless air,
Each sound became a secret song of love,
A melody that followed everywhere.
The moon arrived with silver in its hands,
Stars gathered softly in the peaceful night,
I saw your memory dancing in the dark,
Turning every shadow into light.
Beneath the trees where quiet moments bloom,
The earth and sky seemed woven into one,
My heart still keeps your whisper close within,
Like nature holding love that stays undone.
Whispers Beneath The Trees

Poet's note: I wrote Whispers Beneath the Trees during a quiet evening when nature felt deeply alive and peaceful. The idea came from imagining a moment where someone sits beneath trees while watching the sunset, listening to the river and wind, and remembering a person they love. I did not write it for one specific person. Instead, I wrote it for anyone who has felt love become part of the world around them, where memories and emotions seem to appear in every small detail of nature.
The feelings I wanted to express were love, peace, longing, and warmth. I wanted love to feel soft rather than dramatic, like a gentle breeze touching leaves or moonlight resting on the earth. The poem carries the feeling of missing someone while also feeling comforted by their presence in memories and in nature itself.
To me, this poem represents the way love can exist beyond words and distance. Sometimes people are not beside us, yet we still find them in places, sounds, and moments. The river, flowers, trees, moon, and stars symbolize the idea that nature quietly keeps emotions alive. The poem reminds me that love is not always loud. Sometimes it is found in silence, in memories, and in the peaceful beauty of the world around us.
