They have created music with some wonderful beats
They have built railroads so people could travel by trains
Soon after they took to the skies and flew in planes
But they suffered many economic depressions
And endured British colonial rule
They built every home and business with the hammer and saw as their tools
We fought our enemies with rifles made on our own soil
It is a nation where people work hard and toil
They fought each other during the American Civil War
When it came to the future, they went through so much more
But they stood stronger together than ever before
And now they stand in the modern age
