Lines To Annette. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCA DDEFGGHIJJ KLKL

Canst thou Annette thy lover seeA
His trembling love unfolded hearB
And mark the while th' impassion'd tearC
Th' impassion'd tear of agonyA
-
Adown his anxious features stealD
Nor then one burst of pity feelD
But as bereav'd of ev'ry senseE
Look on with cold indifferenceF
Go then Annette in all thy charmsG
Go bless some gayer happier armsG
Go rest secure thy fear give o'erH
These eyes shall follow thee no moreI
And never shall these lips impartJ
One thought of all that rends my heartJ
-
Yet since will burst the frequent sighK
And since the tear will ever fallL
From thee and from the world I'll flyK
Deserts shall hide shall silence allL
