A glimpse of priceless pearl in your eye, wordless is your speech, numb are your limbs
What has befallen you, O’ strong woman who beareth me, heavy in your womb, nine months to the year
All the sacrifices you have given from child birth, to sleepless nights, when I was high in fever
I place my hand over your heart, praying for a miracle, procuring my love for you, asking for forgiveness
The signs were there, the loss of focus, the slur of speech, but did denial of the worst, the delay of diagnosis cause all this suffering
The comings of a final major brain stroke were evident, I wish for time to go back, but alas it is not to be;
Now I stand in the midst of this tormenting sea of helplessness praying for the divine hand of God to intervene and give deliverance.
I love you mom.
