I live each day trying to be my bestA
Some days are hard where I just need to restA
-
I'm always searching for what I needB
Learning what matters by sowing that seedB
-
Digging in deeper to my inner selfC
Seeing those things I put on my shelfC
-
Sometimes I wonder why I never tried to find me beforeD
There is so much inside me that I should never ignoreD
-
It's helping me find peace in being aloneE
I no longer need to be glued to my phoneE
-
I've been working so hard to become who I amF
It's so much more than what you see through a camF
-
My past identity wasnt my ownE
These last few months I've been free to be shownE
-
It's scary to take steps towards my truest passionG
I used to let fear make my whole world start crashinG
-
But I no longer live tied to those darker daysH
This lost time shows me how I can live in different waysH
-
The biggest thing is to always be braveI
Removing shackles that used to enslaveI
The ones that could of sent me to the graveI
When I was lost by how I used to behaveI
And now I ride on a completely new waveI
-
I have found this peace from deep withinG
It has helped me find a way to winG
The hardest part was starting all over againG
-
But this was the best decision I have ever madeJ
It has become sunshine where it once was shadeJ
And now I know it was worth the price I paidJ
-
Time is healing these scars that were left on my soulK
I have finally fought back and taken over controlK
From those times I was wronged when things felt so cruelL
Now I watch each day as I'm becoming more wholeK
