Age is a fragile
she definitely will get broken some day
age is a number
the higher it goes
the weaker it becomes
age !
am not afraid of you
but the way you climb up the stair way
with the speed of a swift deer
threatens my inner soul
going and going
never takes a look back
to say hi
for God sake
when did I come out
of the "blood flowers"?
just only yesterday
I saw something old
on my young face
whitish like an elastic necklace
on my left chin
I screamed at it
for what?
Mr Man will you quickly go back?
I tried to uproot
but it root
were solidly deep
down my cheek
Yes it did go away
after sometime of pain
only to come back again
finely engraved
It elastic tooth
Into my shoot
Ah! I looked at it vividly
and aired quickly
this is unfair fair play
but when did I come out
of her blood flowers?
screaming for the world
to know I ve arrived?
I could have never had remembered
how after disconnecting
my mummy's "not wireless
10G" from my belly ball
the beautiful flowers
in white robes and caps
in the anachronistic clayed hut
with palms leaves on it head
to shield the rain and sun
chanted sweet lullaby
to my hearings
But just now so quick
from yesterday all I hear
is cacophony, blues, raps,
afro beats, jazz, pops ,calypsos
rhythms on unplugged
Age is a number
the higher its gets
the more fragile it becomes.
Pro 14:1
I engaged her mindlessly
but why is it that you break off
speed gradually
She smile frowned awfully
whispering codedly
Life is a process
and am it access
to achieve it progress
I only brake suddenly
on those who don't
handle me gently
and carefully
When you came out
of the "blood flowers"
She said,
I try to make you
"see the beginning
before it ends
so you can end
it before it begins
Mostly the packages
frown cages
me in wrapped Savages
where I call Inn
sold to negligence
nicknamed impertinence
insolence, impudence
causing my breaking
easily stunning
a poetic advice
be tattooed
on your mind's wall
" gentility never breaks
a water pot
but in every rush of the day
there is always a mistake
causing me quick fragility"
