I see a dysfunctional future
Wailing in hunger. Many tongues scrabbling for a single bone
Living corpses pile the street.
I hear soothsayers boast in their ignorance and claim a stolen future
I see a tomorrow cursed with endless pain, pain of negligence and rivalry
The sun has lost its light, the moon its radiance.
Darkness beckons to lay with her.
I see the emperor swollen with pride as he spits fire and death
They call it progress
A future of metals in place of blood.
I see moving metals in the market, thinking and acting like us
I only see a future devoid of life.
