Evening SongA
-
At evening when we walk on dark trailsB
our bleached selves appear before usC
-
ThirstyD
we drink from the pond s white waterE
the sweetness of our mournful childhoodF
-
Weary we rest beneath the elderberryE
to behold the dawning gullsG
-
Spring clouds rise above the town s dark thoughtsH
mute the monks nobler daysI
-
As I took your tiny handsJ
your round eyes gently broke upon meD
This was long agoK
-
And yet when darker songs descend upon the soulL
you appear a whiteness in your friend s autumn landscapeM

AbendliedF
-
-
Erstorbene ruhen wir unterm Hollundergeb schO
Schaun den grauen M ven zuJ
-
Fr hlingsgew lke steigen ber die finstere StadtF
Die der M nche edlere Zeiten schweigtF
-
Da ich deine schmalen H nde nahmP
Schlugst du leise die runden Augen aufQ
Dieses ist lange herE
-
Doch wenn dunkler Wohllaut die Seele heimsuchtF
Erscheinst du Wei e in des Freundes herbstlicher LandschaftF
