Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFGHIJ EKLKEM NJOPO AQRST

You city peopleA
Why are you weepingB
Why are your children helplessC
Tell us the problem about itD
-
We city people we are angryE
Yes about petty promisesF
We have no hopeG
It is dark in the streetsH
No forward no backwardI
Always stagnantJ
-
Since when do you call it pettyE
Did you ever praised the mayorK
Yes that old manL
He who you called a rulerK
Now why do you pityE
Do you want to cut that same hand that fed youM
-
O listen they promised jobsN
They sang developmentJ
Calling it revolutionO
But now lookP
Not even dedicationO
-
Rise up my city peopleA
Raise your hands and say it enoughQ
Educate the youthsR
Yes not to be deceivedS
By those whom we think are goodT
