My City People

You city people
Why are you weeping
Why are your children helpless
Tell us, the problem about it

We city people we are angry
Yes, about petty promises
We have no hope
It is dark in the streets
No forward, no backward
Always stagnant

Since when do you call it petty
Did you ever praised the mayor
Yes, that old man
He who you called a ruler
Now why do you pity
Do you want to cut that same hand that fed you?

O listen, they promised jobs
They sang development
Calling it revolution
But now look
Not even dedication

Rise up my city people
Raise your hands and say it enough
Educate the youths
Yes, not to be deceived
By those whom we think are good.
