They sayA
We mustn't talkB
Or it will be an offenceA
But I'll talkB

I'll go me to the parapetC
Shout with my megaphoneD
And talk loud for the worldE
To hear Those who compareF
The killings then and nowG
Are culpable as the perpetratorsA
Those who keep quietH
In the face of evilI
Are themselves evilI
For our silence benefits the wickedJ

Poet's note: This concludes the theme in "Marauders" and condemns the silence of government officials to the killings or their explanation that herdsmen kill farmers because their cows are rustled. The poet says in the poem that in spite of government silencing the people that he will speak up against the activities of the Fulani herdsmen.
