Humanity dies
Every time
A human is murdered
By fellow humans
Since we can't create
Souls why destroy them?
Humanity dies
Every time
A bomb blasts
Killing innocent men,
Women and children
Who did nothing
To warrant such inhumanity;
Humanity dies
Each time
We fold our arms
And do nothing
But only talk without action
And watch as humans
Groan in pain and hunger
Without having any hope
Assuaging the need;
Humanity dies
When we build
Castles and mansions
None occupies whereas millions
Sleep under bridges and open spaces
Like animals of the wild;
Humanity dies
When we live for ourselves
Alone and not for the common
Good of all, when what's meant
For all's consumed by a few
While millions are dying of starvation.
