Deep in a verdant forestA
Battles were about to happenB
A frog tree lizard and a mantisC
Stood ready to face each otherD
-
Bulbous frog from wild westE
Eyes eastern lizard in its denF
Wary mantis is quite obliviousG
Still and without even a quiverD
-
Frog thought lizard s a threatH
Croaking at it again and againF
While lizard was in its foragesI
Mantis thought all this queerJ
-
Lizard had eyed its food to eatK
Something quite still and greenL
Heaven sent preying mantisC
Ready for its tongue to spearJ
-
Frog was caught in its own netH
Lonely in a well of little gainM
Still trying to show its presenceN
Toiled to make lizard have fearJ
-
Will mantis be lizard food yetH
Will lizard be fooling frog thenF
Can these animals be friendsO
Queries amidst quests foreverD
-
Time will eventually show thatP
Nature has always got a planQ
Problems that all beings faceR
Fade away over time in futureD
